For all Young Women and Adult Leadership

Observe all standards set forth in the For Strength of Youth pamphlet–especially those outlined below.  

Dress and Appearance - Clothing must be modest and functional

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  The temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”  “Immodest clothing that is tight, sheer, or revealing in any other manner.  Young Women should avoid wearing short shorts, and short skirts, shirts that do not cover the stomach and clothing that does not cover the shoulders or is low-cut in the front or the back.”  FSOY – in addition to this we ask that bathing suits be modest, one piece (or covers the middle without exception) and covers the chest area.  Shoes must be worn at all times. 

Language

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good.  Ephesians 4:29 “Speak kindly and positively about others.  Choose not to insult others or put them down; even in joking…always use the names of God and Jesus Christ with reverence and respect.”  “Do not use profane, vulgar or crude language or gestures.” FSOY 

Friendship

“Treat everyone with kindness and respect, and refrain from judging and criticizing those around you.  Do not participate in any form of bullying.  Make a special effort to be a friend to those who are shy or lonely, have special needs, or do not feel included.”  FSOY 

Camp Rules:

1. No destruction or defacing of camp or individual property. There will be a charge for any damage done.  Including cell phones, program props/supplies and personal items in cabins.

2. Cabin doors should remain unlocked and closed.  The cabins will be air conditioned so you want the doors to stay closed during the day and night. 

3. Campers should travel in groups. No camper is allowed in areas where there is no adult supervision. The woods are off limits. Trails and roads should be used when traveling around camp.

4. No electronics allowed at camp. Young Women will not be allowed to use cell phones.

5. Anyone who threatens to harm themselves or others will be sent home.

6. No YW will be released from camp early, for any reason, without prior conversation with Sister Christiansen and Sister Tesimale. This conversation should occur prior to the parent or guardian departing from home.

7. The lake, and pool including the dock area are off limits, unless it is a specific scheduled water time. Life jackets must be worn at the lake area at all times.

8. One girl per bed at all times.  

9. Respect must be shown for each camper and leader’s personal space.  Physical contact should be appropriate and in keeping with church morality guidelines.
