2025 Youth Conference - Trek
Look unto Christ in every thought. Doubt Not. Fear not.
Why do we go on Trek?
From 1856 to 1860, about 3,000 Latter-day Saints pulled handcarts across the American plains to gather in the Salt Lake Valley. These pioneers trekked more than a thousand miles through heat and cold; through mud, sand, and sometimes snow; and through rivers and over mountains. They faced trials that required great faith and perseverance.
faith. charity. sacrifice.
Our pioneer trek provides an opportunity for the youth of our stake to learn in a small measure from the experiences of the handcart pioneers. It provides a powerful opportunity to strengthen testimonies, build unity, do family history, and learn core gospel principles. Treks can also help youth learn about who they are and what they may become.

Trek Preparation
Spritual & Physical Preparation
It will be important to prepare both spiritually and physically for Trek. Not only will this experience be physically demanding, but will also challenge your inner strength. The Lord will help you as sincerely prepare for Trek both spiritually and physically. Please see the linked Google Doc for more information about preparing.
